Here, amid the aromas of coffee and snacks, people with shared passions gather, ready to achieve great things. This isn't just a meal, it's a chance to share expectations and feelings ahead of the race.
Diving Camp
We are now ready to take off in a helicopter and embark on an exciting expedition to the heart of the Arctic: the North Pole. Together with the Ice Camp team, our task is to find the perfect location for a temporary diving camp as close to the North Pole as possible. We will need to land on the ice several times to check its thickness and strength. Every time we do this, our hearts skip a beat as we assess the possibility of setting up the camp. At last, we find a good place! We unload the equipment and gear from the helicopter and drop the team onto the ice. We set up the Arctic modules and settle in — marking the beginning of a new chapter in this harsh yet beautiful place.

To complete the PADI ICE DIVER course, you will need to be able to do and demonstrate the following skills:
clear a mask of water;
  • switch from the primary regulator to the backup regulator and back;
  • connect to a buddy's backup regulator;
  • make an emergency ascent while breathing from a buddy's backup regulator;

You must finish your training at the The Arctic Circle Dive Centre and Lodge on the White Sea coast. You must do at least 10 ice dives there no more than 2 months before you leave to the Expedition. To complete this series of dives, you must use the same equipment that you will use for diving at the North Pole. The only thing that might be different is the weight. You need about 2 kg more weights at the Pole than in the White Sea because the salt content is different.
Be prepared for a lot of physical activity and for following the expedition rules.
